Participation in the arts is widely celebrated at Portledge School beginning with our early childhood students and throughout both the Middle and Upper schools.
The Arts
In addition to opportunities to participate in the performing arts through frequent musical and dramatic performances, students exhibit their creative works on and off campus. Student creations are also featured on the Portledge website.
Our faculty supplements creative lessons in the classroom by arranging field trips to art museums, concert venues, and theaters on Long Island and in New York City. These trips are specially designed to support the arts curriculum and expand our student’s appreciation of and exposure to seminal artists and performers.
